Human Resource Requirements & Competitive Strategies

Your employees are the greatest and most costly asset of your business.  Employment laws and recruiting and retaining qualified employees can be challenging to manage, particularly in Rogue Valley. In this three-hour class, you will gain a better understanding of compliance requirements and HR essentials relevant to any size business, and explore competitive HR strategies for your particular business and employee challenges. This class meets BOLI requirements for sexual harassment training for small business owners or managers under OAR 839-015-0380. Class format is presentation and group discussion. Topics to be covered include:

  • Federal and state/Oregon employment laws and requirements

  • Employee information (e.g., personnel files)
  • HR essentials:

  • Recruitment and retention

The cost for this class is $60.  Save $15 and pay only $45 for Developing You as a Leader when also enrolling in Human Resource Requirements and Competitive Strategies.
